The genre-dodging San Diego, California band the Howls are featured on Unsigned | Unrest, a compilation disc created by Broken Heart Records that includes songs by 17 unsigned bands to generate funds benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A few days before the official release of Unsigned | Unrest, I spoke with the Howls' lead singer John Cooper to discuss the album and what the band has up their sleeves for 2013.
